  1. I agree to hold all information regarding my soldier confidential. This means that no service man or woman’s personal information may be released to anyone other than person(s) listed as the contact(s) on this application and/or officers of Hugs4SmilesUSA. In order to ensure the safety of those I have adopted, no information of theirs will be entered in Internet search engines as these are public domains. These measures ensure that I will adhere to the strictest terms of OPSEC (Operations Security). I realize that any violation of this rule may result in my immediate removal from the adoption program of Hugs4SmilesUSA.
  2. I understand that Hugs4SmilesUSA is a family oriented organization, and as such, I agree to respect the adopted soldier’s family unit. I also agree that the best way for me to protect the soldier’s family is for me to keep their identities and location confidential as well.
  3. My sole purpose in submitting this application is to show my support for deployed troops and their families left at home. In acknowledgment of this, I understand that Hugs4SmilesUSA is not a dating service.
  4. In my efforts to support my soldier/family unconditionally, it is understood that I am expected to send two care packages each month, at two week intervals, to my soldier and one package per month to his family (if adopted). I also agree to correspond with my adopted soldier/family weekly.

  6. I agree to join the Hugs4Smiles forum, which is linked from the Home Page on the web site at www.hugs4smilesusa.org because the organization’s information and updates are provided there and it is an excellent resource to me as a volunteer. I will review the “Updates” and “Forum Rules” folders as needed to keep informed on any changes in rules and procedures.
  7. Submission of this application implies that I have read the Mission Statement and Core Values as stated on Hugs4SmilesUSA’s web site, understand them, and agree to uphold them.
  8. I acknowledge that this agreement exists solely between Hugs4SmilesUSA and myself, and will therefore address any concerns or issues regarding them to an officer of the Organization. As such, it is understood that my adoption may be revoked by Hugs4SmilesUSA at any time for reasons they deem necessary and without explanation.
  9. If for any reason I am not able to fulfill any of the above obligations, Hugs4SmilesUSA will be given two weeks notice before my support to those adopted ends.
